Girls Inc. of Northern Alberta is the only non-profit/registered charity organization in the Wood Buffalo region offering 100% cost-free gender-specific programming. Our mission is to inspire all girls to be strong, smart, and bold. 

Operating since 1979 on the lands of Treaty 8 territory, we equip girls ages 5 to 18 with the skills, knowledge, and experiences needed to break free from gender stereotypes, create social change, and be proud of who they are. 

In 2025 alone, Girls Inc. has inspired over 2,066 girls throughout the region - an exceptional growth from 310 in 2016. Together, we’re preparing a new generation of girl leaders to make their mark in this world. Ready or not, here they come!
