Girls Inc. of Northern Alberta is the only non-profit/registered charity organization in the Wood Buffalo region offering 100% cost-free gender-specific programming. Our mission is to inspire all girls to be strong, smart, and bold. 

Operating since 1979 on the lands of Treaty 8 territory, we equip girls ages 5 to 18 with the skills, knowledge, and experiences needed to break free from gender stereotypes, create social change, and be proud of who they are. 

In January - October 2025 alone, Girls Inc. has inspired over 1,850 girls throughout the region - an exceptional growth from 310 in 2016. Together, we’re preparing a new generation of girl leaders to make their mark in this world. Ready or not, here they come!
